Bringing Community Together

We believe that no one should feel isolated or unsupported. That’s why it’s our mission to reduce loneliness and social isolation for carers and individuals who live alone.

We offer a sense of community to carers and individuals requiring additional support, and those who wish to connect with their local community through being available to assist others.

Caring Together North Yorkshire listens to the needs and wants of carers and those living alone, focusing on building person-centred partnerships. We have worked with over 4,000 individuals over 30 years, across Ryedale and Whitby area.

Support Caring Together on the Lyke Wake Walk

On the 2nd July 2026 a number of volunteers and the team are hoping to complete the Lyke Wake Walk, 40 miles spanning Osmotherly to Ravenscar over a 24 hour period. Starting at 4am there are a few people who want to do it all, but there are regular checkpoints where different people will start and finish along the way. It looks to be a great opportunity to walk and talk, and highlight the charity too. We have been supported by JRA, our IT fantastic partners in Kirkbymoorside, and a group of supporters to meet us at check points to refuel and return to our cars.

You too can support us… follow the link to our Just Giving page … or just send us good thoughts 😊
