Autumn 2025 update

It has been a really busy summer across Ryedale and Whitby, with our regular befriending and events taking place, along with a couple of extras. Many of you may well have enjoyed an afternoon at the National Bird of Prey Centre as our thank you to you all for the great work you all do, and Lythe Farmers’ Breakfast group had their summer day out to Scampston Hall and Walled Garden. Now we will all have to make the most of September before the nights draw in once more.

Autumn will be just as busy though! Firstly, we have a session for you about Cyber-security and how to avoid being scammed (see below) and then we are planning some evening get-togethers to raise funds so that we can deliver even more across both areas.

In Whitby we will be entertained by our very own Jacquie Cole as we ‘Come Sleuthing’ on 18th November, and in Ryedale we are planning a Cheese & Wine evening with All Saints Church in Kirkbymoorside on the 28th November . So look out for your invitations to come along, bring family and friends, and simply have an enjoyable time in the company of others.
